Just completed another trip around the sun 🥳 🎂 🎈

Fun fact: being born on 03/03 really helped when we moved to the US, as I never had to get used to entering my date of birth differently on forms, since MM/DD and DD/MM are the same 🤓

Hey internet friends 🤗 I have a big announcement to make and this time it doesn't have anything to do with apps 🤓

Last month, our daughter was born and it is so incredible and wonderful to have her in the family now. I haven't been very active here nor done any work recently, as my wife and I were busy getting to know the little one and enjoying quality time to bond as a young family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 🥰

PS: As many of you know I am very fond of dad jokes, so now I am officially entitled to make ‘em 😜

Hey all 👋 I'd love some help judging a design for an in-app announcement I plan to add to @zenitizer tomorrow 🤓

I'd like to start a meditation community on social media to engage with users and let them share their progress, learnings, challenges and hold each other accountable.

Work in progress: #watchOS10 redesign for @zenitizer.

Am I way overdoing the background gradient, because it feels so fresh, fun and exciting? And will have to tone it down in a future update? Almost certainly 😅 But for now, I’m enjoying the fresh coat of paint 👨‍🎨 🎨

What do y'all think?

Btw. the existing "Flat Appearance” setting will, of course, also turn this off, so those of you who don't want any gradient at all, I've got you covered 😉

Finally, after many weeks of diving deep into CoreData + CloudKit and dealing with sync bugs and weird edge cases, iCloud Sync for Zenitizer is ready to ship this Wednesday 🥳

So I guess this is finally happening then, isn’t it? Been meaning to start working on it last week but there were always more important things in the way…

Most of them were actually more important, but honestly some of them I may have prioritized just because I’ve been dreading to deal with iCloud sync and was happy about an excuse to delay confronting this challenge, haha.

Let’s hope it’s not as bad as I expect it to be 😅

It’s fantastic to have a little piece of California right here in Bonn 🌳❤️

One of the great perks of living in California was being surrounded by beautiful nature everywhere 🏞️

Now, when I find myself missing the magnificent sequoias and redwoods, I love visiting the botanical garden in Bonn where they have a small section dedicated to the flora of California and the Pacific Northwest.

So, I’ve been waiting for over half a year for my Dygma Defy (super nerdy, mechanical, ergo, split keyboard 🤓) preorder to arrive and it finally did on Friday 🎉

Figured with the timing coincidentally just before Christmas, I might as well try really hard to resist opening the box and wait another two days, put it under the tree and treat it like a Christmas present - and BOY am I excited to unwrap that thing tomorrow 🤩 🎁 🎄

I am stuck trying to submit a build of @zenitizer for visionOS… I added visionOS as a supported destination and it runs the native #visionOS app just fine in the simulator. However when I try to archive it, I get the error message “Invalid Run Destination”...

The build I archived with the iOS run destination does not show up as a possible build for visionOS on App Store Connect either. Any ideas ideas would be much appreciated 🙏

Good news everyone! simctl status_bar overrides are working again with Xcode 15 🥳

Just last week, I tediously did the whole, ridiculous “setting my Mac's system time to 9:41am and then frantically trying to take as many screenshots as possible in a minute" thing again when simctl would've done the trick 🫠

Just listening to the “iPadOS 17 Wishes” @appstories episode and must say that @viticci’s suggestion for Spotlight extensions would make me so happy 🥹

Maybe as be part of #Shortcuts / #AppIntents without even (much) extra work to be done by devs? Essentially “just” expose intents in Spotlight with a more interactive UI, allowing to directly type in parameters (Raycast-style) and other kinds of rich interactions without leaving #Spotlight? 🤔
