@mehluv yknow what, i thought you were a bit too optimistic about the election results turning the other way around. I am still at disbelief at the results, wondering whether I'm in a nice dream. I should have held onto hope, India is not a lost cause, yet... thx man, your optimism spread to me and I looked forward to the results a bit more than I anticipated
@yeti nah you're missing context. BJP was always going to win, they're too powerful and too rich and too big, we couldn't have hoped for a total unseat. But they've lost massively compared to last year, especially UP and Maharashtra, they need the coalition to give them victory. this is good momentum for the next elections.
Wife got angry with me yesterday because we watched Crew and she hated it and i enjoyed it, and she said the main 3 were unlikeable because they didn't feel like lower class people in dire straits since they had bougie aspirations, and my position wad that most lower class people have bougie aspirations!
@divya ig when we talk about class Middle Class becomes a nebulous term with very little definition. In the movie i do believe that these people are undergoung hard times, plus i do feel lower class people do have upper class aspirations. Caste angle wise i do agree!

Used to like her videos on cultural trends and social justice topics, i always found it weird and offputting when people used to accuse her of being a transmedicalist grifter who was weird about nonbinary people, but then she kept saying weird shit on Twitter and finally cast Buck Angel as a VO in one of her videos (trans male pornstar infamous for being a massive misogynist and conservative). Then she got on a Hillary Clinton interview and gave her a house tour.
She also stirred up drama today by revealing that she used to date Philosophy Tube, weirdly accusing her of copying her own video style and also being gross about Abigail transitioning during their relationship.
The timing of it all is also v stupid, because Abigail's been in a series of high profile projects recently, and has been announced as being part of the new Star Wars show.

I also feel like we can't underestimate the "if not modi then who" wave, the congress has failed utterly so far since Sonia Gandhi refused to take up prime ministership in 2014. Only state govts seem to understand the value of a figurehead.
