This is one reason I love looking at the new designs - I had no idea Cartier sold candles.

I'm loving all the data from Design Day - especially the data on the first action and that about 90% of all applications lead to issuance.

The Patent Office is seeing a huge increase in design patent expedited applications - which is taking up resources and (my opinion) contributing significantly the delay for the examination of the rest.

@design_law I'm trying to think of a fair use scenario for a fan guide. Maybe they've been burned by copyright before and are trying everything? But this is bizarre.

@design_law That's a good example. I tend to think about resale issues since exhaustion has come up too many times in my practice. Some patent holders are crazy.
