Indeed GDR stuff is very well made, we have these badminton rackets at school made in GDR and they look brand new, meanwhile the cheap Chinese ones they have are all bent broken twisted chipped from about the same amount of use. The GDR ones are uncomfortable and heavy but that's just a matter of the design being different
