@tashen i just got an ultra 2 so i can track my workouts since i'm actually consistently working out now. never saw any value in the apple watch before now
I tried getting into Part II (even knowing spoilers about Joel) and I just couldn’t.
I’m trying again with the PS5 update but gosh, I just… am having such a hard time. I’m finding it hard to… latch on.
I like Abby and Dina.
Ellie… I liked in the first game but I’m finding it hard to like her here.
In the spirit of embracing new experiences though, I am going to keep at it.
The game itself is super impressive, voice acting and visuals are phenomenal.
Last week I completed Deathloop after revisiting it since I bought it on release. It didn’t click with me back then, but recently I felt in the mood for it. I enjoyed it overall, especially gameplay-wise, though it really felt rushed and a bit incomplete on the story side. I liked the characters. Colt and Julianna had a fun dynamic.
I had a free month of Game Pass, and so I’ve been using that to play Starfield on PC since it launched. My subscription is going to expire by October 4th and since I don’t play on Xbox I’m going to let it expire.
I don’t think I’ll finish Starfield by then.
On paper this game should have me hooked, and some story beats have interested me (I’m 19h in) but I’ve gotta admit, I’m so bored by this game now. 😞
I’m sure it’s just to do with like, mood. Sometimes you’re just not in the mood for a game.
@tashen eh my plan was to either play on release or just wait for bug fixes. At this point I may as well just keep waiting a bit longer to see what updates they pump out.
#Cyberpunk2077 2.0. My goodness. I loved this game a ton since day one, apart from the technical issues, but this is a whole new game. 2.0 is incredible. I’m having so much fun. Doing a third playthrough of this game now in total. Absolutely loving it!
@tashen I’m just starting a second play through since I beat it first week on release. Her voice acting is great. I think the male voice fit better for later acts, not when he’s a cocky new merc.
#Dishonored is one of my favourite games of all time. In fact, it may as well be crowned my number one.
The environments are strikingly beautiful and the art style in general is unique and expressive.
The gameplay is absolutely sublime. Perfectly tuned, and so fun.
The story is engaging, the characters are believable and interesting. I love the lore.
The feeling of choice and consequence truly feel real.
@tashen dude dishonored is the only game I’ve played half a dozen times and completed. Best game ever made. Idk what it is about 2 but it just didn’t hold my attention at all after a couple hours.
@tashen I’m feeling that way about Jedi survivor too. Yeah combat feels more fluid but the story just isn’t gripping me the same way the first one did. It was smaller scale and more self contained.
Playing through #StarWars: Republic Commando on Switch at the moment and I’ve been surprised by just how fantastic it is. It feels so modern gameplay-wise even though it came out back in 2005. I love the UI, everything regarding issuing commands to Delta Squad is so well-thought-out and fun. Really enjoying this game.
Friends, I feel discouraged. It feels like Mastodon has been battling to be relevant in the media for so long. Then, here comes Meta along with all its privacy violations, and people flock to it because it’s easy.
Threads will have what I’ve been missing from Mastodon. Companies, news, celebrities… mainstream personalities.
I don’t think it’s doubtful that it will be a quicker, easier, more popular Twitter replacement. I’m just… so disappointed.
Looking to finally upgrade my mid-2017 Intel MacBook to an Apple Silicon one. Looking at a Pro as I’m going to use it for software development – I’ve heard it does better than the Air under sustained workloads because of the fans. Going to wait until November though… gosh it feels so far away. 🙃
There is genuinely some good coming out the #Twitter and #Reddit situations.
I don’t feel I’m wrong on this. I bet many people, for the first time, are seeing just how dependent they are on both services. In any and all aspects. For work, for recreation/entertainment, etc. Not even going into the whole “addiction” side of things. 😅
I used to be an avid user of both platforms but got disillusioned and abandoned them both. I’m glad other people are having the veil lifted for them too.
@tashen the issue is even the smaller subs with incredibly useful advice or help are blacking out and we’re losing that information. If you want to delete all default subs that was always an option but now I can’t even look up headphone comparisons or home networking advice.
Even though this is about 3600 people, it really puts things into perspective regarding when Apple changes something and everybody loses their mind. (I use Tab Bar, and find it really difficult to go back to Single Tab - I’ve tried many times but Tab Bar is honestly easier. Love swiping between tabs too) https://mastodon.social/@jackwellborn/110424417413341818
@tashen was it updated at the same time as the iPhone safari ui? That might have been what my focus was on instead and I just missed the iPhone discourse
Hopefully you’ll forgive me all, but I just absolutely cannot stop gushing about #StarWars#JediSurvivor. I’m going to hashtag posts accordingly and CW it too.
I had no idea dual wielding was a thing we can do in this game (I didn’t watch any trailers or anything) so it absolutely floored me when it was introduced. I love this. I only hope we can hold them backwards like Ahsoka does. There’s even a white lightsaber colour you can choose.
@tashen I’d never trust lastpass. I think all the security nuts love bitwarden. Proton literally just announced some password manager but I’d give that a year or two and see how trustworthy they are.
