starting to reread at the feet of the sun and i forgot how much i loved it the first time around. no words can encapsulate how amazing this book is. it's hard for a sequel to outshine an amazing predecessor but this book manages it.

i finished rereading artificial condition yesterday and i was struck by the fact I like ART a lot better this time. a feel like network effect made it a more nuanced character and made me appreciate it's appearance in artificial condition more.

i sometimes wonder how people are passionate about so many things. i'm passionate about books, fandom (sometimes), and cats. but compared to some people that feels so small.

it makes me think about how i let my anxiety make my life small sometimes. there could be a million things i could be passionate about that i won't let myself experience or think should be too exhausting.

some commentary on my 2022 wrap-up and goals for next year

i read 112 books this year adding up to 37120 pages. i read the most books in febuary at 21. and the least in october at 2.

I find the trends really interesting because you can see when I started working full time in march. You can see I was depressed in May, then my mood steadily improving, before being stressed as hell in october and then my mood trending up in nov and dec.

Some other cool stats: I read 9 books I own, 71 books I read were part of a series, I reread 3 books, and I DNF'd 18 books.

My most read genres were: Fantasy, Romance, Contemporary, Sci-Fi, LGBTQIA+.
