from what i can tell, all the easy dunks that english speakers try to get in on english are things that are generally true about natural languages

i've seen non-native speakers who know a bunch of languages say "learning english was pretty easy" and immediately get talked over by english speakers going "well it must have been really hard for you to learn english is particular because of how irregular it is"

there's a really funny easter egg in ultrakill that has to do with the sandbox mode

the sandbox is designed to look almost identical to gm_construct, the default gmod map. (it's actually not any one version of construct, it pulls elements from a few different versions to try to be reminiscent of the "platonic" gm_construct, the one hakita thinks of when he thinks "gm_construct")

i laughed really really hard when i saw this, but it's actually not the easter egg i mean...

in the building on ultrakill's gm_construct, there's this blocked-off door. if you noclip through it, you'll find a terminal. and if you read that terminal...

a terminal in ultrakill. the terminal displays a gmail screenshot of an email from Garry Newman, developer of gmod. it reads: "Sure - no textures though - they're Valve's. garry" it's the reply to the implied question "Can I recreate gm_construct in my game's engine and use it as the sandbox mode?"
