Just got introduced (by @dave ) to the idea that the uncanny valley now no longer only applies to images of humans but also to written text, and I so feel it!!
@rafa with 2 years your child is a bit young, but definitely enjoy the scenery, the parade, go for the „storybook canal boats“ and „it’s a small world“

But I’m going to give you one extra tip most people don’t know: in Paris (and only in Paris) there is an animatronic dragon underneath the castle and it’s amazing! ICYMI: Eln Msk decided to push the "Full Self-Driving Capability" feature to all Tesla owners for a free 1-month trial (normally a $12,000 add-on). It's automatically installed and enabled starting today. Just a heads up that you may want to be extra wary of any Tesla you see on the road this month, as the driver may be using this feature without understanding its limitations or requirements (constant, hyper-attentive supervision).
@pbg this is really reckless, dangerous and probably just a push to generate a bit more training data and revenue for a platform that is not really a viable product… Beta-Testing should be a low stakes and opt-in (and not endanger others who do not participate)
The cool thing about #Netflix and #AppleTV+ releasing copies of each other's series is that when one makes a #scifi series, we also get a second sci-fi series 🤩. Bonus points when one chooses to use their "filmed in the EU" quota for it. It's a win-in :) 🍿
@sdw hm, not my cup of tea,… but looks nice for a quick sketch. To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of the vision os style in general.. for example I feel all of the windows are too gray, and everything would benefit from more contrast
Sigh.. I should have prepared the virtual computer BEFORE the new version of KSP2 came out… been staring at loading screens for an hour and I haven’t even been able to download the game
