Hello, people!

I know that, among us, there is people who like to do some physical movement, training or workout. So the question is: do you listen to music while training?

So, for this , let's choose 5 songs that you listen to usually for your training or workouts. Or if you don't train, 5 songs that you would listen to if you would train. :-)

Sweat with

Mine in the next toot.

@neurothing@metalhead.club avatar

@knirirr If you need silence for your training, it's perfectly legitimate. Everyone should do their workouts as they prefer. 😉

neurothing,
@neurothing@metalhead.club avatar

@sariash but let's imagine that you are doing it: which songs would you choose? 🙂

neurothing,
@neurothing@metalhead.club avatar

@SKleefeld Hello, friend! Thank you for your message. 🙂

If you want to take part, don't forget to put the song links and the hashtags, so other people could see and share your stuff 😉

For @derthomas 's , a band that mixes thrash, death, progressive and... punk?

Oh, yes.

They are Nuclear Tomb, and they really seem to have assimilated Voivod's lesson very well. But they egregiously avoid being copycats, putting their personal, quite sepulchral, touch.

Oook, for @miona 's , a soaring techno track from Street Fighter IV .

I really love its uplifting mood, a perfect soundtrack for a fight scene on a skyscraper's roof.

@yourfutureex Seen them live once. They are quite... divisive in this sense, between who deems their live performances as boring and pompous and who loves them for their atmosphere and for Akerfeld's comedic behaviour.

I enjoyed their show, with their ups and downs.

neurothing,
@neurothing@metalhead.club avatar

@yourfutureex (to Italian audience there): "The next song is your fault. In Italy there are so many prog rock bands with long songs. And I fuckin' love Italian prog rock bands".

Said during the show I saw.

(No, the song it wasn't "Black Rose Immortal" :D)

@yourfutureex And how he greeted us?

"Hello! How are you? You suffer. The reason? Well, I don't know"

@yourfutureex I have an anecdote from Devin too.

Gods Of Metal 2005, Bologna, Italy. Strapping Young Lad were playing, to promote the "Alien" album.

Menacing clouds were approaching to the arena.

He told the audience that if it would rain, there would be no better introduction for the next song ("Shitstorm")

Hello, people!

For this , hosted by @Kitty , I have something that may captivate your interest.

We alread have an Egypt-themed death metal band but... what about a Maya-Inca-Aztec one?

So, we have Tzompantli, a death doom band from California, with their menacing sound.

For @DXMacGuffin 's , here a track from Danish/Faroese band Tyr.

It's possible to combine viking metal and progressive? Well, they did it nicely.

Hello, people!

Monday equals hosted by @HailsandAles . Or, at least this is for me. 😊

So, throw in a classic from Keep Of Kalessin's first album. A well-played black metal with melodic touches here and there.

As a writing exercise, I went to Unsplash and asked for a random image. I usually do this, it's useful.

I didn't do the statistical calculus for how much is likely to get a certain picture, but hey, I got an image of a MAGA cap.

Following Spider Jerusalem's teachings, the text I wrote for this was repeating "FUCK!" 8000 times.

Hello, people!

An album opener is, most of the time, the forerunner that will make you decide to go further with the listening of an album or not.

So, for this we'll explore this.

Tell me: what are your favorite five first songs from albums? Specify also the album where it's from.

So, let's start with

Mine in the next toot.

And for @derthomas 's , a "little" jewel by Sabbat, from which ashes Skyclad were born.

The album cover would make you think about some sort of epic metal band. Don't be fooled: they are (were) thrash down to the marrow.

It's to be noted that there is another Japanese metal band called Sabbat (unsurprisingly, I would say). These are from UK instead.
