It’s mostly people who refuse to stop using these services who ruin it for those who don’t. I think the solution is to make slick, idiot-proof and easy alternatives with sexy UIs so even the most insta, TikTok, YouTube addicted person wants to switch over. There’s no solution to monetization or ads which doesn’t fuck the experience of the alternative solution. Creating, instilling and appealing to an ideology will also help conversions.

That said, if you like someone’s content, then there’s nothing inherently wrong with you hoping for that person to be paid for it. Forcing ads is such a disgusting move, but any reasonable person wouldn’t mind paying to not to watch ads—there’s a cost to infrastructure maintenance that needs to be met, so it’s understandable. But I’d rather pay to a non-profit or utility.

In general, everyone should oppose big tech monopolies, and ask their politicians to legislate against them. Monopolies are the biggest threats to democracy.

The ideologies of terrorist organizations are incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, the ideology of the Pride Flag is not. His logic is flawed. And no, there isn’t any room for “someone else’s freedom fighter” etc. under the Constitution. The law has room for interpretation, but not to the degree that Tyler is arguing that it does. Secondly, debates on hypothetical scenarios have no bearings on the law or how it’s applied. This is why that town clerk who refused a marriage license has to pay a fine now. The town should be sued to allow flying the Pride Flag.

What are you on about? A representative or democratic system is made for its constituents, and the ideology of the Pride Flag is supported by the U.S. Constitution. There’s no issue here other than religious fundamentalism against gays and trans etc., which actually is explicitly prohibited by the U.S. constitution because technically the U.S. is not a theocracy.

If your populace requires different accommodations then you meet them, that’s why taxes are paid. If you’re not meeting the expectations of some members of the populace, then they should selectively be allowed to skip tax payment allotments to you.

Not at all. They are:

  • Have meat.
  • Beat it.

Hmm, I am not sure torture is the point of a justice or legal system. We have the death penalty as a deterrent for violent crime, it’s not meant to be punishment. That said, even the punishment isn’t meant to be torture. You shouldn’t become the cruelty you aim to reduce in society.

I want to believe that, the goal should be rehabilitation somehow. That said, at this moment in time when we don’t have good rehabilitation implementations, I find this turn of events acceptable based on the crime committed.

I think she could find employment with a political org or union or non-profit. I hope she finds employment wherever she wants.

I think because their instances don’t have enough content or interactions. Including threads isn’t necessarily going to fix it, it’ll just provide threads with more content that’s not on threads. People who want to use these admins instances are already using it, threads users aren’t going to migrate simply because these admins have included threads. In short, you’ve let in the fucking Trojans haven’t you? Did you let in the Trojans? Because I think that’s what you’ve done, you nimrods.

Saying “it is what it is” can either be defeatist or stoic.

This person probably just forgot about an old social post…

Or recordings made during customer service calls, maybe a disgruntled employee decides to repurpose the data.

Caption contest aside, I am impressed by your dainty and possibly elf-like feet. Congrats on the feet lottery!

Generally, states with progressive policies and higher immigration have higher literacy rates, some data: nces.ed.gov/surveys/piaac/skillsmap/…/STATE.pdf,

Data on immigration: usnews.com/…/states-with-the-highest-shares-of-fo…

Exceptions exist for all kinds of reasons.
