I'm awake, have had breakfast and have fed Ginza hers. I now have only 10 more sections to complete in Unit 3 of the Duolingo course for Norwegian.
Slept okay, slept pretty solid until the alarm went off this morning. Still cloudy right now but it's suppose to clear up and the forecast says we're beginning a stretch of 10 days that are all predicted to have sunshine.
Right now I expect to do that 25 mile bicycle ride after I log out of work at noon like I do on Wednesdays.
I'm awake early because I had to pee and it was a time that if I tried to go back to sleep I might not do so, but if I did so, it'd be a hard wake up in a couple of hours because I know how it feels when I go back to sleep like that.
Body feels pretty good although I can also tell that I need to go easy today and that later on the bike ride and walk both need to be easy. Today is all about recovery after yesterday's bike ride.
Reluctantly awake. Lots of rain overnight, I was awake for some time and heard it drumming against the window. I finally fell back asleep, my right hand was on top of Ginza and the left was under the blankets underneath her. I could feel her softly purring.
But somehow I got up when the alarm woke me. I've eaten breakfast and fed Ginza hers. She's now snoozing on the upper perch in her cat tree and looks adorable as always.
I'm awake. Slept pretty well. I've had breakfast and have fed Ginza hers.
I was looking at the log the morning and realized that my bike rides after work this week totaled up to 76 miles of riding. Yesterday's bike ride was stressful though, for unknown reasons there was an unusual amount of traffic on the small roads where I do my loops. I still did a reasonable job of keeping my pace on the easier and slower side though, but I would have liked to feel more mentally relaxed.
@SergKoren My mom slammed her head on concrete back in 2020. She was 92 at the time. She tripped over her own 2 feet. But, true Neapolitan, Sicilian that she was by heritage, she came up swinging and yelling. Took a bit to get her to go in the ambulance. "Gabbadose!" Was her Neapolitan rallying cry. She had slight brain bleed too, but no concussion. However, with the bruising, she looked like she was in one hellava a bar fight. She remains the toughest person I have ever known.😁
Still in the hospital under observation. Nothing broken. Just bruising and a small subdermal hemotoma. Could have been a lot worse. Waiting for a follow up ct scan and based on that maybe going home. So much for vacation.
I’m still achy, and stiff. That’s to be expected, and I’m not surprised or upset. I’m getting a few new aches, mostly in my neck and jaw, but nothing to complain about.
