numberfour002,

Happened to my grandbabies. All they do is sit around catching pokey mans all day. Don’t even know how to start an oven or use a chainsaw but they at least could get the boobies off my back screen after my phone was wormed.

numberfour002,

There are lots of species of plants that don’t directly rely on photosynthesis. Many are essentially sub-terrestrial parasites, getting their “food” from fungi and sometimes even other plants. It’s seemingly more common in orchids, in part because the family generally already has a strong reliance on fungi as part of their general reproductive strategy.

numberfour002,

Congratulations Aunt Trudy! Today is the 60th anniversary of your 10th birthday and we got you this amazing balloon display.

Is it possible that the 60 balloons are celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary? The ring between the 6 and the 0 make me wonder. Not that a 70th birthday isn’t a big deal, but I think a 60th wedding anniversary is an even more impressive achievement than not dying for the past 70+ years.

numberfour002,

The advancement of weather prediction has kinda ruined this. I know in the morning exactly at what time it’s going to rain/snow.

That’s definitely not the case in my part of the world, particularly in the case of wintery weather predictions and definitely not true down to the hour. So, let US have this enjoyment when it does actually snow, because it could very well be that the weather people didn’t even mention the possibility of snow today or they said it would only be a small chance of flurries but we got enough accumulation to actually build a snowman or they said it was going to be sleet but it turned out to be snow or 3 days ago they were predicting that it was going to be unseasonably warm or they said it was not going to snow until after sunset.

numberfour002,

Reminder to cut back on salt if you have high blood pressure and don’t eat sugar either because it is worse than salt.

numberfour002,

why is this showing up on my page I do not know ask your grandkinds

numberfour002,

I have not tried these glasses. I would not pay that much for them.

What I have found is that inexpensive mirrored “fishing” sunglasses make certain colors much more noticeable for me, especially from a distance. The orange or green mirrored lenses seem to do the trick.

It was an accidental discovery on my part. I bought a “cheap” $20USD pair of polarized fishing sunglasses one year before going on a trip to the mountains in the fall (when leaves change color). Other people can easily distinguish red trees way off in the distance, I couldn’t. But when I had the polarized fishing sunglasses on, suddenly I could very easily distinguish between red trees versus the ones that were brown, dead, or leafless. It was fascinating.

It also works in the spring on newly emerging buds, which are often red or pink in color. From a distance, I can’t really see that. But with the glasses on, I could see the red trees from miles away.

So, for $20 it’s a cool novelty to have some of my color vision “restored”. But for the ridiculous cost of these “color blind glasses”, it would not be worth it to me.

numberfour002,

Love them whiskers remind me of my dear departed Aaron. Used to rub them up against my face when I was sleeping and make me think it was rats in the bed in my dreams. amen.
