orphiebaby,

I mean, I am in Lemmy.world. Problem is it’s always down.

orphiebaby,

Awesome, thanks ^^

orphiebaby,

I am aware of that from casual statements in lemmy.world. Today is the first time I actually saw it for myself though, and jesus…

orphiebaby,

Can I use Greasemonkey for this? I’ve used Greasemonkey before, though rarely.

orphiebaby,

I hate both crypto and fascism?

I guess you just outed yourself as a troll. Not that that means anything.

orphiebaby,

For the last two days— especially last night— it has been down for many hours each day. Last night it was so bad that I started staying in the lemm.ee instance, when before I only ever posted in here once.

orphiebaby,

If the implication was that they were trying to say that that’s what I was implying, then maybe they should learn how to use quotation marks.

But even if that was what they were trying to imply, I still don’t get how they came to that conclusion or even what it really means. It just looks like some dumb, random, defensive statement that has nothing to do with anything, to me.

orphiebaby,

I’m not “a commie”, but the way I understand it is that the kinds of “commies” that Russia and China say they are (and also that the US says the two are) are not communists at all.

orphiebaby,

…Those aren’t vegetables. That’s the point.

orphiebaby,

Not nearly as much as you seem to think. “Anything can be anything” is a common line by people who don’t know anything. “Autism is an infinite spectrum. Everyone’s a little bit autistic!” “Everything that looks similar in some ways to a game that’s been called an ‘RPG’ is an RPG!” Assumptions and infinite inclusions come more easily than actual knowledge and categorizations.

orphiebaby, (edited )

I’m 35 fucking years old and am not a Sonic fanboy. With that said, this is really fucking stupid. Sonic is as coordinated, hardy, and physically-strong as Spider-Man, and that’s not even talking about speed. He also smashes clean through robots and spaceships with his own back and head, shrapnel and all.

orphiebaby,

Not needed to make my point, but yee. No matter how you put it, Sonic is a superhero, and his abilities and traits are as fleshed out and flexible as any major DC or Marvel superhero’s.

orphiebaby,

No, I’m just saying the Sonic fanbase has a reputation, and you don’t need to be one of the people with a reputation to defend Sonic’s being a superhero.

orphiebaby,

Oh? I didn’t want to watch the movies. What happened?

orphiebaby,

Taller in some games.

Yeah, but anytime anyone says anything, they’re making an implication about their beliefs. Even if we don’t call them “political”, they’re still technically beliefs. For example, a tiny bit of “Elan” says “have a laugh at the orthodox!” as part of an encouragement towards adventurous actions and thinking. That’s a statement, an implication of the writer’s beliefs.

Furthermore, let’s say Nightwish lyrics told actual little folk stories. There’d be no politics in that song about how the husband and wife are adventuring, or about how the woman’s child died and they’re mourning them. So nobody’d get upset at the lyrics for actually having basic coherency.
