Shame on my. Bulma 1.0 went out the door and I didn't even notice. I didn't even realize Jeremy rewrote the whole thing in Dart Sass, or that CSS Variables are now a thing. https://github.com/jgthms/bulma/releases/tag/1.0.0
@webology I read that the Zags started the second half on a 37-6 run until the six-min mark. Self must have been thinking: “How exactly shall I stop this?”
@khalidabuhakmeh This Sony software does everything wrong you could ask for. A marketing committee contracted to a firm with subcontractors, each who employ 10 antisocial drunk monkeys to implement.
@CodenameTim@pauleveritt I was looking forward to both teams only having six players for the first round until they corrected it. I thought this, will go well and we will end up with 5 on 4 or 3.
TIL the #1 pick in WNBA (likely Caitlyn Clark) makes $78k base pay.
As context: the NBA #1 makes $10,133,900. 130x.
In fact, the lowest pay a first year NBA player can get: $1.1M. Or 14x.
I get the fact that one sport has a lot higher revenue than the other. NBA makes $10B. WNBA $60M. So perhaps the finger should be pointed at us fans, for not appropriately valuing. (Same for politics: we need better voters, not better candidates.)
@pauleveritt I agree on needing better voters, but we need to address the media's side.
ESPN is full "hot takes". That's because it generates conversation and attention. If we get hot takes on women's teams and leagues, that will generate more conversation and attention for those leagues. If the media ignores the leagues, it significantly cuts the reach of those leagues.
For example, if Trump hadn't gotten more air time during republican primaries in 2015, he may not have won the nomination.
Reminder: we're doing a livestream about new stuff in Python, Django, and PyCharm, in a couple of hours. Come watch as I fanboy @tonybaloney to an embarrassing degree.
