Hey fellow users (specifically people that use to patch apps like reddit/TikTok)

My Google Play store almost updated my reddit app. Would that have broken my revanced install? The play store doesn't see me as having installed TikTok so I think that's sandboxed and safe from getting broken, but if reddit was getting updated by my play store idk if that's specifically allowed by revanced or if that's something I need to keep an eye on

Not that I want my instance to federate with threads but is there any way to theoretically interact with threads users without your whole instance/account getting scraped by Facebook or is that just a complete nonstarter

Welp, I think I can safely say that Fontaine has been my favorite part of Genshin's archon quest so far :blob_cat_heart: I remember Sumeru's being pretty good too I think, but it's been so long since I've done it atp that I'm fuzzy on the particulars. Furina's story really hit in the feels for me :blobsob: Although I find it hard to believe that Celestia is just gonna vibe after the events of Ch. 5... I guess we'll see 👀

got a job offer as an assistant center director at a tutoring center. Not the best position, but something I'd be much happier doing than working for a compositing company with miserable management I think lol. It's a start :)

Does anyone else enjoy finding an app with a UI that's just like. A pleasure to use? I feel like this is a weird thing to appreciate but when something has a design that just. Feels good to navigate I enjoy using it more

Like a service being functional and otherwise Spartan is fine but I genuinely enjoy engaging with a good looking and fluid ui/ux lmao

stract and kagi are both super promising search engines but god it frustrates me how they're privacy focused to a point where they're less useful than less private search engines

Get as much data from me as you want as long as you promise it's black boxed and not fed to advertisers, I just want to see what's nearby whenever I search "chinese food". So far, the only option I can find that does that is startpage, which is fine but god it sucks using a search engine that just feels like google, with compromises

finally moved off beehaw and to pawb.social for my home instance

i really like beehaw's community but i dont want it to be my home instance given they've defederated with most of the active corners of the fediverse. hopefully this gets me more active on lemmy since i'm slipping back towards reddit lol

@neatchee also as long as something is federating with lemmy.world i have ownership over my experience by subscribing to the communities i'd want anyway, so that's really all i was looking for. I didn't tend to browse /r/all on reddit, so I don't think much is lost for me here if I'm not on the same instances as most of the communities i'd be engaging with
