@simonbs I opened an Objective-C++ file in Runestone today and was surprised that it only recognized it as a text file. I opened the Language menu and didn’t see an option for Objective-C. Is this intentional?

@platkus There are plenty of languages that Runestone doesn't support. Objective-C is one of them. I make an effort to support the languages that have a good open-source Tree-sitter parser. There probably wasn't one for Objective-C the last time I compiled the list of languages. Maybe one have surfaced in the meantime but I don't know if that's the case.

@simonbs I understand, but not having Objective-C for a code editor on Apple platforms is a big omission in my opinion. I still have a lot of old projects I want to edit while using Apple Vision Pro! If it becomes convenient to add it, I’d like to put in my vote for it.

One more request: adding a selection to Find with command-E is per window. I’d like an option for that to be global across all windows. I need to select in one file and find in another. That now requires copy and paste to do.

Hey @Iconfactory
Are there any plans to create a native visionOS Tot app? That seems like it would be super handy for us Tot users.

@platkus We’re waiting a bit to see how things shake out with Vision Pro for our apps. We also don’t want to release anything we have not directly tested and needless to say acquiring enough hardware to test properly is expensive so we’re limited there unfortunately.

The 13 year-old in me can’t help but wonder why this was not the show title!

Hey @davemark While we wait for the Apple Event, I have a question for you that I was curious about from the last Dalrymple Report episode…

You mentioned that you accidentally invoke the multitasking features in iPadOS occasionally. I've heard that iPadOS 17 brings back the setting to disable those multitasking features. I know I'll be disabling them on my mom’s iPad for sure to reduce the support calls.

I was wondering, will you disable them or do you actually use them sometimes?

@platkus I will look for this once I update to iPadOS 17. On 16 now. Thanks for this, TIL.

Will look at the difference before I disable multitasking, but I might take advantage of this. Thanks, Shawn, cheers!
