I'm really not happy with Lemmy so far. Its a great community and a cool concept, but the amount of bugs I am experiencing is really starting to put me off....
I’m not sure if you will find much sympathy here. Many people (myself included) left Reddit because their policies and ethics now outweigh the benefits of a refined, smooth experience. Although, even that may be gone now if you’re switching from Apollo to the default Reddit app…
The communities here have made any occasional glitches worth it for me.
P.S. you can set your sorting preference under Settings.
its literally just carbonated piss and you cant even get drunk off it. and i say this as a german, who's been trying both 'good' and bad beer since 16 years old.
So at work today, the discussion of household heating and gas/electricity bills came up (entering winter Down Under), and I commented that we have our central heating set to 14 Celsius (approx 57 Freedoms) overnight, and off during the day/evening. We find that 14 is quite comfortable under a fluffy doona/duvet. I was warmly...
Congrats to him on getting his cup. Was always my favorite Senator. I've always believed that rather than building around a single superstar, teams should build around a trio of hardworking regular stars....
The All feed on both Hot and Active modes is exactly the same as it was most of a day ago, all the same posts in the same order, except they're all 12h+ old now. At first I thought federation might not be working due to overload, but on New posts are coming in all the time, both local and remote....
I think a lot of new users are coming in and interacting with the first post they see, which is usually the post at the top of the “hot” feed. In turn, this keeps the “hot” posts up longer because of the constant interaction.
I expect it’ll cycle through within the week once the blackout is up.
Did the admins poll the community about it? Why was such measure so needed? If the tankie content is so annoying why not let users decide what they want to see or not and what they want to block?...
The corpse at the Eleganté Hotel stymied the Beaumont, Texas, police. They could find no motive for the killing of popular oil-and-gas man Greg Fleniken—and no explanation for how he had received his strange internal injuries.
I wanted to get a pulse check on how new members are finding the general experience/website. Is it more confusing than Reddit or are you finding the instance system a better way of doing things as it can give you more freedom of where you choose to create an account?...

What temperature range do you like your thermostat/heater set to in winter?

Not doing whatever it took to rebuild around "Captain" Mark Stone was the worst mistake the Senators ever made.

Why is the front page suddenly so stale?

Reddit refugees, has your favorite sub migrated already?
I, being someone who works with computers, have had some luck with most of my favorite subs being here already....
