Global warming has got nothing to do with oil The one substance we cannot do without is oil as 99.9 per cent of everything we come into contact with in our daily lives involves it ("Players join clean-up after Just Stop Oil confetti protest", July 6). The oil referred to by Just Stop Oil was not discovered until 200 years ago. Before that, ships set sail to find whales and drag them by ropes to ports for their oil.
