@Crell It’s similar to Wasmer https://github.com/wasmerio/wasmer-php, but they use FFI i.e. there is no need to install extension , right?

Is Brent Roose on the Fediverse anywhere? I love this idea, and I’d love to help contribute.

I started down the path of trying to port to a while back. I maintained a PHP wrapper for it (https://github.com/ramsey/pygments), and even set up a GitHub organization for “Phygments.” 😉 https://github.com/phygments

I want to help make this happen. Maybe I’ll have to email Brent if he’s not on the Fediverse.

@ramsey @timwolla @Crell @dragonmantank I presume “Native PHP” uses static-php-cli to create PHP bianaries, but the don’t use phpmicro SAPI to glue it in one executable

@ramsey @timwolla @Crell @dragonmantank ah, I should’ve to clarified it: FrankenPHP uses embed SAPI, but they also use static-php-cli to bring PHP bin with it for simplicity

No extension for 8.2 on Windows which puts a crimp in my plans to only run 8.2 on my new dev machine. If PHP is supported on Windows why are the PECL extensions such a mess? Bah!
