when it comes down to "i want jquery dom api but in php" can never remember which of these abandoned libraries i used to prefer 🤣

looks like this is the one i was trying to remember https://packagist.org/packages/gravitypdf/querypath it technically has fewer dependencies, but.

@pronskiy judgement stage one i like its lack of mountains of dependencies.

@bobmagicii Heh. FWIW, I tend to use symfony/dom-crawler these days.

@elazar i am confused about that one because the documentation talks about also adding css-selector to get what i want. then the composer.json for dom-crawler lists css-selector as a "require (dev)".

which sounds to me like my stuff is going to break on production.

@bobmagicii If you want to use CSS selectors, you'll want to install both as non-dev dependencies in your project. I actually have sections on them in the Symfony chapter of my book. </self-plug>
