Musk got a lot of fans by driving the electric car revolution, but he really was always a d-bag. It just got excused or swept under the rug.
The first public crack in the armor really came in 2019 when he inserted himself in the Thailand cave rescue effort in the worst way. Then in 2020, he basically declared himself a public health expert and spread plenty of COVID misinformation.
EDIT: I’ve attached a rough map of the situation. The laundry room is the little room in the middle. The red dot is where the dryer vents into the garage....
My parents have a similar setup. They eventually switched to an interior venting system (link is an example only, not necessarily a recommendation).
It condenses the humid air, so you have to empty the reservoir and clean the lint filter after every use, but it’s a lot cheaper than a remodel just to add some ducts to the outside.
In the 3.x era, fully replacing the windows shell was easy and there were lots of options. These days, the windows taskbar+start button is just such an efficient use of space and resources that few alternates exist.
There are plenty of way to customize the appearance, though. Stardock has lots of products that change the look and feel of Windows. Start10/11 to alter the start menu behavior. Windowblinds to skin the overall look and feel of windows themselves. Then there are other launchers that sit (mostly) on top of the existing MS look such as Launchy or RocketDock.
After a lengthy $10,000,000 lawsuit, TorGuard has conceded to movie studios and is now banning BitTorrent traffic and is now keeping logs on American users and servers.
“And that’s why we, the benevolent and peaceful police, need to track all your movements at all hours of the day. For the children. You don’t want to be anti-children do you? Skynet told us where you live.”
He talked about electric cars. I don’t know anything about cars, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.
Then he talked about rockets. I don’t know anything about rockets, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.
Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard anyone say, so when people say he’s a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.
It’s incredible how much the prices have fallen and that’s how it should be. Sure, I bought the 960 close to launch but still the difference is staggering....
Title is my question. It seems like refusing to recognize other state’s driver licenses would be blatantly unconstitutional. Is there something I’m missing?
Also infuriating: With how much YT is incentivizing creators to create shorts, a bunch of channels I follow no longer even make regular 10-15 minute content regularly.
And even if you can't install it on a locked-down device, there's a portable version, too. Install on any removable media (from another machine, to be fair) and it will run from USB without installation.

Since news leaked out 2 days ago that Facebook has approached Mastodon developers and admins - requiring non-disclosure agreements first - the whole microverse (i.e. mastodon / pleroma etc, the micro-blogging part of fedi) has been talking about nothing but that and Facebook's imminent entry into the fediverse with an as yet not...
If it ends up bad for the overall environment of the fediverse, they'll just get defederated. A lot of the folks on Mastadon are getting worked up because the identity of this corner of the internet is decidedly anti-corporate. The thing is, it's just a few clicks for any instance-owner to completely isolate that project.
It could be a big deal (initially), or it could be a giant nothingburger. Or it could be a big deal that eventually turns into a nothingburger. Too soon to say, and way too soon to throw a fit over.
This is it. Companies make bad decisions all the time, but they can sometimes be shown why their decision is a bad one, and reverse course. All the interviews with Spez the last two weeks show that he may actually be a sociopath. He doesn't see the people who provide all the value to Reddit as actual people, and won't listen to their concerns at all.

Trump himself was supposed to "drain the swamp" as he's the only one "strong enough" to do it, but his own DOJ never brought charges against Hillary because they're corrupt and "woke." But also, Back the Blue fits in there somewhere.
Their narrative is whatever sounds convenient for the 5 seconds it takes to get to the end of the sentence. There's no coherent ideology that binds it all together, because it's so self-contradictory that would be impossible.
