So this new EU App Store conditions thing. Do I have this right that they’re aiming for ad-supported games and free-to-download apps that support external services (Uber, Facebook, food delivery…) with this “platform fee” but as an unintended consequence they’re going to destroy the life of the next person who comes up with something like Flappy Bird?

I’m still looking for a nice (rubbery, not plasticey) set of ~30cm figure 8 power cables. Europlug, UK, US and Australian would do. The ones which used to come with the Microsoft Surface would be perfect but I can’t see how I can buy them as a spare part.

Staying in a relatively new “apartmenty” in the Czech ski fields. It’s nice enough, but the quality of the light from all the LED bulbs is just abysmal. It’s nominally a pleasing 2700°K yellow, but everything in the room looks flat and grey.

(Congstar don’t, and I can’t work out if it’s a technical limitation and they can’t do it at all or if it’s for market segmentation reasons—they only offer support for on-contract customers.)
