this is a scarf for Mr Becky - one time Martin and I were at a yarn shop, and the people working there knew me but not my boyfriend so they called him Mr Becky and he was so charmed by it that he goes by Mr Becky when we're out doing yarn stuff. he is a delight.

secret weaving protip: when you know you need to weave the end back in at the end of a row of hemstitching but it will be annoying to do (it always is), fold a piece of scrap yarn in the last shed and leave a loop out the side. hemstitch to the end, over the cheater thread.

you can pull the thread end through without having to needle weave your enormous tapestry needle through your frog hair warp.

one of the cool things I'm learning about "polychrome" weaving is how each color is weaving the same image but offset slightly - here the purple thread is one step "up" from the pink thread so depending on if the treadling sequence is going up or down, it's either on the inside or the outside of the flower shapes.

polychrome has this neat n+1 effect too where you use two colors of yarn and get three colors in the cloth (4 if you count the white background)
