I’m looking for a decent, easy to use film/photo scanner to get as a gift for someone

I haven’t used them since the 90s. We purchased a Kogan one to try and the quality was terrible

Does anybody have any more up to date recommendations?

What makes me truly mad is there are many interesting uses for AI that nothing to do with language models.

We use a constraint solver model in our product, we’ve stopped describing it as AI because we found customers no longer trusted its output if we did

That component is simply known as “the algorithm” now 😓

Going to rejoin Apple, work my way into the Photos team for iOS, add a top level button to rotate a photo, then quit the next day knowing I have improved the lives of billions.

Found out the thermostat in my office comes with z-wave built in! Looks like it'll tie in nicely to a Home Assistant Yellow :)
