My presentation at the Euro-IX route servers workshop about filtering the ARIN legacy space: this is impossibile due to lack of RPKI and authoritative IRR. Notable victims are Cogent customers leasing their IPs and the USG DNS root servers.

As everybody expected, after less than one month 's (communications regulator) platform censored Cloudflare's IP 188.114.97.7 which hosts hundreds of thousands of web sites that have nothing to do with sports streaming. Congratulations to everybody involved!

After some hours 188.114.97.7 has been unblocked, but it is not clear to me on which legal basis.

Come chiunque aveva previsto, a meno di un mese dall'attivazione la piattaforma di oggi ha illecitamente censurato l'IP 188.114.97.7 di Cloudflare che ospita centinaia di migliaia di siti che non c'entrano niente con lo streaming dello sport. Bravi tutti.

Dopo diverse ore 188.114.97.7 è stato sbloccato, anche se non ho capito su quale base legale visto che i blocchi dovrebbero essere permanenti.

Non esiste una piattaforma di censura magica che filtra solo le partite di calcio: chi oggi costruisce uno strumento si assume la responsabilità morale di come sarà usato in futuro.

molti siti legittimi abbattuti per cancellare un (forse) pirata

pensa l'agriturismo che tra settimane si accorge di essere stato cancellato da internet e scopre che non esiste procedura di ricorso e ripristino

ah, NB, cancellare tanti per colpirne uno è contro la legge ma "il calcio è il calcio, e il resto non è un cazzo" (cit)

@quinta AGCOM ha appena chiarito che il primo IP bloccato dalla piattaforma antipezzotto è solo un test (perché sulla piattaforma di produzione e non su quella di test? boh), e la censura vera inizierà domani.

Con l'occasione segnalo una implementazione del motore di censura come software libero: https://github.com/OpenAccess-Italia/ComplianceGuard .

@quinta Come è noto non lavoro per Aruba, ma per quanto ne so io quello è un server dedicato. Con il passive DNS non ho trovato domini corrispondenti, e comunque ha la porta 443 filtrata: presumo quindi che sia stato scelto apposta.

@quinta Quasi tutti gli ISP hanno adempiuto all'ordine. Gli altri probabilmente non hanno ancora ricevuto le credenziali per la piattaforma, che sospetto AGCOM stia inviando a mano a uno per volta.

Quando AGCOM deciderà che la prova è conclusa userà la piattaforma per chiedere la rimozione dell'IP dai filtri.

Large communities can be matched with a regex on Junos by using something like "large:^12637:0:".

This is seriously underdocumented.

After a firmware update (which still feels like something developed in the '90s), my Brother HL-L2375DW laser printer suddenly became incompatible with 802.11w of my OpenWRT access point. It just reported that it could not connect to the network ("ST-02").

What is the current wisdom about laser printer manufactures which suck just a bit less than the competition?
