rob, 1 month ago to random Why yes, I did get Chat GPT to write a bash script for me. Needed checking and verifying as it kept “forgetting” that I have a BSD-flavoured *nix but was quicker than writing from scratch. Next time I’ll use Copilot to see if that’s better at it.

michael, 1 month ago @rob it’ll depend - I use copilot all the time for boring boilerplate stuff. If you have to consider any particular business need, or have more complex code it tends to fail subtly. But it is pretty good with simple, short pieces of code.
