Taste testing the two cocktails that @Shelly picked out for my 50th birthday Sparkle Party next month. #1 Sparkling Annette Martini
Smooth and not too sweet. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
@ScriptoriumGirl well it’s a rom-com, so it’s definitely on-brand! I’ve loved S.M.O.O.C.H. since I accidentally heard the 50 Shades episode. So funny :)
More #JukeboxFridayNight for #ItTakesTwo with another classic. I loved it then and it still slaps today. Justified and Ancient by The KLF, featuring Tammy MFing Wynette. Take a moment and enjoy a very weird and great intersection. https://youtu.be/XP5oHL3zBDg
@Verso@paulbusch@uncle6 they are an odd bunch, and rather interesting. I used to listen to their The White Room on a loop while working when it came out. Difficult to think that it was over 30 years ago now …
I think Apple should make and support the Mac Pro because it’s an essential part of making “the best computers in the world.”
I believe in the Mac Pro, and I hope some kindred spirits show up at Apple Park during WWDC wearing this (admittedly dorky) shirt to let Apple know that we exist.
THIS IS IT.
The FINAL episode of #startrekpicard is streaming now.
What a journey this has been...
A huge thank you to the fans who have given us so much love through all these years. Your enthusiasm and support has been nothing short of amazing.
And a very special thank you to our fearless leader @terrymatalas and the entire remarkable writing team for giving all of these characters such beautiful words to play with.
To my fellow cast: what an HONOR & a JOY to play with you. Let’s do it again🖖🏼❤️
They hit all the emotional stuff they needed to hit. Mission accomplished. Nothing really complicated happens in the plot so they can spend the time on character. The most satisfying Star Trek: Picard finale they’ve ever made.
@joesteel S3 was very well done. It had just the right amount of nostalgia (i.e. all of it), and it was wrapped up nicely at the end. I’m just not sure about that post-credits scene. It felt a little bit too “<wink>” to me. I mean - it was no Wesley showing up and gushing on about how great life is now he’s a Traveller. But given the emotional “end of Q” we had last season, it felt like they undid some of that. Ending on them playing poker, though? Perfect
@joesteel precisely! It just felt tacked on at the end, and honestly undid some of the warm fuzzy feelings they’d been building up to in the last third of the final ep. But overall it gets a 9.5/10, although admittedly mostly for the excellent nostalgia factor
@KingShawn it felt like it fell OUT of its groove. Rebecca met a guy on a boat then fell asleep, but we’ll find out she’s pregnant. Consent much? The guys argued all night about whether or not to see a sex show (maybe I’ve lived in Bangkok for too long, but my thought was “big whoop”) and ended up going nowhere. Ted had a placebo-fuelled night of whatever TF that was. The only people who made the time in Amsterdam worth it were Higgins and the kit-boy, who seemingly had a blast
They’ve been leaning on Rebecca seeing the “psychic” since it happened, and she said Rebecca would be a mother. And she had that fertility test, for which we never heard the results, but it was implied that it was not good.
Rebecca would TOTALLY have a ONS with a hot guy on a boat, but they chose to show them getting drunk and her asking “did we … ?” in the morning, and he answered “No. Yes.” So … that’s where I reckon they’re going
@KingShawn as I say: consent much? But it’ll all be fine, and everyone will be happy. She might even go back to find the guy, but his boat will be gone and she’ll stare wistfully over the Amstel and wonder if the guy even existed
