Is it reasonable to use + , and for authn and authz ? Do I need another dependency like Django ? I see tutorial authors implementing BaseAuthentication from rest_framework.authentication (eg to plug in a JavaScript frontend). Is that enough to be secure? @adamchainz @adamghill any thoughts or a boost would be a gigantic help! 🙏

@blong @adamchainz @adamghill Hello! 👋 Adding in my two cents -- I think Django + DRF work well together (also never used allauth for APIs)

You can use custom DRF authentication classes, like you mentioned, to handle JWT validation/decoding along with user authentication, and lock down your endpoints with scope-based authz via custom DRF permissions if you need to! Hope that helps!

@sjbitcode what would it take to get something like https://github.com/sjbitcode/django-cbv-inspect to output static content that could be used in documentation or github pages?

My company has some gnarly CBVs and one of the ideas to make them easier to navigate is to provide a CCBV navigational tool.

@CodenameTim that's a great idea and I think its definitely possible! 😄

In addition to rendering the toolbar, cbv-inspect could render static pages. This would probably require a list of urls (with params if required) to drive the rendering. The results could either be exported via management command or accessible via a new set of routes provided by cbv-inspect.

Does that sound like what you had in mind?
