not that they are short on cash but AWS could make a mint if they just had a thing where you type in a box what you want e.g. “make a Redis cache thingy and set it up so I can actually access the fucking thing from an application” and somebody did it and they just billed you $50

people think doing software engineering is like “you write a program” but it’s actually “you spend weeks waiting for some guy to get back to you with a one sentence reply to a question that still manages to reek of ‘you are the only stupidest person in the world who could ever have been dumb enough to have had this question and I have logged your idiocy in my Contempt File which I will summarily share with all the other guys while I decide which ticket from 4-8 business weeks ago to pick up’”
