FURIOSA (2024) had neat action sequences but did not really succeed at what I hoped it would do - giving a backstory for the character Furiosa - and just generally whiffed on meeting the epic scale of the film for which it was intended to prequel? Didn't hit correct for me tbh!

That had me enthralled from start to finish. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife. Zendaya lives out a fujoshi fantasy. Favorite scenes were towards the beginning when younger Tashi is waxing poetic about tennis in the moonlight, and the sauna scene towards the end. The guy playing Patrick was cute. I really enjoyed that the movie trusted the audience and did more showing than telling
