Where I live, most community events are shared on Facebook. That's probably the main reason why I'm still on that platform. I'd like to delete my account, but then I'd lose touch with local events.

This past weekend:

🧙‍♀️ Paddled in my town’s annual Witches Float
🎭 Saw some amazing local theatre
🧵 Did some funky quilting with a cool gang of local quilters
💩 Learned that I can use bear poo (which currently is in plentiful supply in my yard) to fertilize my garden

Midlife in small towns is fun, y’all.

@sia It was so fun! There were about 40 of us paddling along the waterfront. It's a relatively new event, so a lot of folks don't know about it yet. We surprised a lot of bystanders (in a good way, I hope).

@gallego I'm always happy to share recipes! I don't really follow a strict recipe for pie crust (my mom taught me to make crust when I was a kid, so I just kinda do it on autopilot now), but here's the recipe I used for the filling. Note that you need apple butter, not applesauce. Applesauce is way too thin.
