Unfortunately, we've received another issue with our 1.3 beta 2 AppImage failing to run. Occasionally, this happens as libraries are updated and our AppImage isn't...

We're looking into publishing future betas as Flatpak to flathub-beta. This should hopefully prevent the same dependency issues we see with our AppImages currently.

@Neurostroke The AppImage is built on some version of Ubuntu (I can't recall which version right now), and we mostly build against stock libraries (the only exception being libnyquist). The issue is regarding libatk this time...

I'm trying out the @tenacity Audio Editor. It feels... a bit strange, like seeing Spock with a beard.

I'm editing a couple of podcasts tongiht, will let you know how it goes.

@bobjonkman Thanks for the feedback! Also, what version of Tenacity are you using? If you're using 1.3 beta 2, some of those issues have been fixed in the latest nightly. If you're using the latest nightly, we'll investigate these issues further.

With regards to your second bit, what were your settings? We want to know them so we can try to reproduce this issue and investigate further.

@bobjonkman Awesome! At least it wasn't a bug :D

This leaves us with the remaining issues that you previously described. All the other issues would be resolved in the latest nightly, so hopefully 1.3 stable will be much better with stability and performance

Are you a packager for an OS (e.g., Linux distro, BSD variant, etc) that packages Audacity, especially an older version? We're interested in working with you to package the latest version of Tenacity when it's out!

Packaging Tenacity should be very similar to Audacity. However, we have a new build system and almost all our dependencies have been devendored. Also see https://fosstodon.org/@tenacity/109400968706888042 for more info.

Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we are likely not going to release macOS builds. Currently, they are failing in CI and we can't figure out what's going on. Also, none of us really have Mac's to test with, so if there's any Mac-specific issues then we can't fix them even if we were able to provide builds.
