Hi @thorsepus , unfortunately there is nothing I can do to recover your account. Once an account has been deleted, the username is "burnt" and can never be used, again.

So if you were to go to the pedestrian zone and annoy Metalheads there to take a look at our instance, that would be absolutely no problem from a technical point of view.

@Kitty probably because new Reddit and Twitter limitations / enforcements :)

Twitter seems to have been quite unstable recently and they enforced new API limits. Same with Reddit: 3rd party apps now need to pay for data access.

@Stephan I have used Fedora for about 8 years or more. My reasons are:

  • It follows hybrid between rolling release and stable release
  • It just works. I have enough work to do - don't want any hassle with my operating system. (that's why I dropped Arch - despite it being very interesting)

jetzt wo wieder neue leute von twitter rüberkommen möchte ich mich normal verhalten und keinen nerdkram posten

aber ausgerechnet heute ist mir die nix OS VM in meinem 19 zoll rack abgeschmiert und alle ansible playbooks haben sich in den kernel fragmentiert weshalb jetzt mein display manager grub aus dem framebuffer lädt und nicht von der hard disk

und das konnte ich euch leider nicht vorenthalten

Abgesehen von der elendigen Landshuter Vetternwirtschaft, die seit jeher mit der LaHo einhergeht, ist das Event aus meiner Geburtsheimat eine ziemlich coole Sache und auf jeden Fall sehenswert!

Passiert auch nur alle 4 Jahre. Die letzte LaHo war wegen Corona allerdings 2017.

Übrigens wird extrem viel Wert drauf gelegt, dass die Teilnehmer authentisch erscheinen. Blondiert? Kurze Haare? Strähnchen? Dann biste raus.

Man kann die Teilnehmer also schon ein Jahr vorher erkennen... ;)

@vinzv Jepp, auch Schmuck, Armbanduhren,... Trinkflaschen etc... Alles was nicht in die Zeit passt, muss weg. Ich glaube nur bei Unterwäsche machen sie eine Ausnahme, solange sie nicht sichtbar ist? 😅
