I kinda wish Lemmy had polls right now. With my spare A5 almost in my hands I’m looking forward to the next build, but I can’t decide if I should start a HG Zaku/Ghost/Victory moon fight scene or the ver.Ka RX-93 with double fin funnels. A poll would make it so much easier to quickly get the opinion of my fellow builders! Oh...
It’s hard not to have an attachment to Nu, it’s such a wicked suit! Lol it is a lot of funnels, true, but there’s also the base and effects to really make that sucker look that much more awesome!
I like your idea though! Sandwiching the MG Nu between the bunch of HG builds would be a good mix up
man that XM-XX is so sick! I sure hope the XM-X0 is on its level! I think I’ve got an idea how I’m going to paint it that I think will look pretty sweet, too, and I can’t wait to share it with the community. Same with the Rear Shrike V.
Lol dangit, now I’m back to being torn. Maybe the weather can help me figure this out. If we don’t have impending rain, I can build and paint the mobile suits of the scene, and if it is impending I can do the Nu clean build
I learned another thing today lol been using yay on several devices and I’ve always used flags exactly as I would with pacman. Just another reason I’m sold that yay rocks!
Decent build, all around. If I had one complaint, it’d be the clamps holding the feet to the surfboard. The clamps have a single peg at the back that go into the grooves on the board, which allows for some fairly dynamic poses, but they’re at risk of popping out if the Maxter gets jiggled too hard....
Got this thinking it was an HG kit, and opaque (Amazon seller had an incorrect listing.) Turns out it’s not HG. Reminds me of the couple of no grades I’ve got....
I was honestly surprised when I received it and first opened the box, I remember seeing it as one the PB kits being promoted for the last Gundam base tour. I certainly wouldn’t say I regret buying it. It just is what it is. It’s still notably better than my no grade Zollidia.
I have a variety of sanding sticks, strips, paper, and the glass files (love them!) Even the glass files couldn’t do much, the stress marks went deep into the plastic and many were there before cutting a single gate. The best patches I could get required using the glass file, a 3500, and then a 12000 grit sanding sponge.
I’d like to play around a bit with an online shop. Nothing professional with proper requirements, just a hobby project. When googling for open source e-Commerce solutions, I can find the usual software. But I don’t like open core models, and all the projects seem to want to make some money with an add-on marketplace. And...
not from what I recall, there’s a module “commerce” (and many extending modules) that can be installed through the admin webui. I think they already have a Drupal spin where the more popular commerce modules are included with the install
Got these printed up by a friend at a sign shop. Took a while to cut bc the transparencies were thicker than normal. xacto wasn’t doing the trick well enough for me, so I had to take my time with small scissors....
Yeah it got a lot more tricky once I realized I can’t drill holes in the top piece of the core fighter that folds down. Turns out that the bottom studs of the A5 would end up right in the way of the pegs/sockets that hold that part of the core fighter together. Now the least destructive option will be to but the 2 bottom “pegs” of A5 and extend it using a small scrap of PLA glued to the bottom. Hopefully it’ll kinda cinch onto the core fighter and help distribute that extra weight from the sun Rings display
I haven’t given up on Linux. I have at least 5 Linux machines in the other room, including tablets, laptops, and servers.
There’s a few Mac’s in the mix too, but those are workstations.
Though I can sympathize with the complaints here in these comments. I brought a ryzen laptop home and installed a distribution on it. Sleep didn’t work. Tried 2 more distros, sleep still didn’t work. Now that laptop just sits there. My Chromebook gets more use than it. Having to shut it down and boot it back up every time wasn’t worth using it anymore when my pinebook pro does have the support you’d expect for functions you’d expect from a laptop.
Unfortunately I found out that it’s due to a bug in the kernel that hasn’t been fixed yet. I was thinking of giving it another change up and replacing popos with arch. If worst comes to worst I’ll do a brunch install and give it to someone who needs it. I’ll still get my Linux fix from my pinebook, tab, and various servers.
Funny enough, it dawned on me I’ve used Arch ARM for years but haven’t tried it on that laptop yet. Think I’m going to give it a shot when I get bored. But first my mission is hunting down a bug in fedora with my pinebooks wifi. I use it a lot more than my other laptops and tablets
Edit: I installed arch and everything is working correctly from what I can tell so far 😂 idk what was up with pop, fedora, and Manjaro…

Why people gave up using linux?
The only few reason I know so far is software availability, like adobe software, and Microsoft suite. Is there more of major reasons that I missed?
