tophneal,

i feel kinda stupid. what do checks and online gaming accounts have to do with each other? do they accept checks as payment for access?

tophneal,

Lol might as well! It would go well with my Anaheim unicorn shirt 😎

tophneal,

They’re pretty cool, and there’s a couple of different kinds you can find on eBay if them being PB isn’t a requirement. I almost got the molded plastic ones, like the PB effects for RG Nu. For the LED, I grabbed a bunch of white ones (indicated to be for the MG Qan T Raiser.) I chose white so I can rely on the transparent plastic, or paint, used in the head to show the desired color. A green led lighting up green plastic felt like a hat on a hat to me. This way I can swap out to other kits and get the right colors. (Word of warning to anyone else that chooses to get their LEDs from eBay, the pucks don’t seem to have the 3m timed shutoff of the LED that I’ve seen on others)

tophneal,

I tell people, like my friend that wanted a bunch of drivel kids stuff, that if they give me 2 hard drives I’ll set them up as their own library.

Server behind CGNAT - Reverse VPN? Or how to bypass?

So…in a short sentence…the title. I have a server in a remote location which also happens to be under CGNAT. I only get to visit this location once a year at best, so if anything goes off…It stays off for the rest of that year until I can go and troubleshoot. I have a main location/home where everything works, I get a...

tophneal,

Can the ISP at the remote location remove your remote location from the NAT? I have a similar issue where sometimes it’s will reset and my services are inaccessible. A quick call to support usually has the problem fixed in a few minutes.

tophneal,

That’s unfortunate you have to put in a ticket. They should be able to help you with this during a 5-10m phone call. Hopefully they get to your ticket in a timely manner

tophneal,

Fishwaldo is pretty active in the chat from what I’ve seen. If you have matrix, discord, or irc you could jump into the pine64 chats and ask him

tophneal,

That could definitely work! Do you know if it can control any type of carousel? I’ve heard getting one that’s controllable helps with scanning

tophneal,

Yea! Heck even this one would likely work …creality.com/…/cr-scan-ferret-se-3d-scanner

tophneal,

Good to know! I’ll have to see if I have any scanning companies in my area and if they’ll work with hobbies projects

tophneal,

This could definitely work! I could likely get the parts needed printed at the library or local college! Thanks!

tophneal,

Thanks for the advice! Shame about the CR, but the OpenScan would be more in line with my goal of using my existing equipment. Thanks! I’ll be sure to get some of that spray too!

tophneal,

Fair enough!

tophneal,

Good to know! I’ll probably go with the open scanner then

tophneal,

I don’t get this. For each of my devices running arch, the only tinkering I’ve encountered were for nitpicky customizations I wanted, which I have to do on another distro. After the arch installation completes it’s given me a fully functional desktop

tophneal,

🤦‍♂️ of course! I forgot to install it wrong lol

‘I’d never been bitten by a tick before’: why the little blood-sucking pest is getting us into a panic (www.theguardian.com)

Last summer I took my family on a walk through the woodlands that surround the hamlet of Ebernoe, in Sussex. My children clambered on fallen trees, my partner and I hunted for mushrooms, and all the while we were being hunted by creatures more ancient than the last dinosaurs – and so hungry they would have fed on us for days.

tophneal,

Oppossums eat ticks. Hopefully some other animals have gotten in on that party too

tophneal,

I don’t use open VPN so I don’t know for sure, but I think you’re right as the best way to go. Pretty sure I recall Network Manager having an option to set a vpn to be always on when a network connection is made and an option to save credentials.

tophneal,

Actually OP, for the easiest, safest option to your system I would say @Supermariofan67 hit the nail on the head. Use your network manager settings: forum.manjaro.org/t/…/46298

If it’s not already installed there’s an openvpn plugin: software.manjaro.org/…/networkmanager-openvpn
