Hmm, I think I'm starting to like the RSSGuard RSS reading under linux (there's a flatpak), but the Qt skinning is killing me. I always sucked at it. And everyone insists on having skinny-ass scrollbars precisely one shade lighter than the scrollbar background... :blobsob:

Hmm, okay, yeah...after much reading (and much more to go), Gnus is pretty crazy... I can even easily use it as an RSS reader that doesn't suck.

Project for the day: Screwing with XMPP bots, because doing matrix bots seems to be an enormous pain in the ass.

Future fiddling: Possibly look into getting the chatbot to talk to home automation stuff.

Working on my 'all-the-sites' website, it amazes me how many website themes want to use google fonts or jsdeliver or...so on. No. Not only no, but fuck no. If I wanted google to know you're visiting my site, I'd add Analytics (which is another thing tons try to do...).

Hmm, so I've started my experimental screwing around with building a set up to let me write posts in markdown, generate a static website and RSS for it, then convert it for summarization and posting to social media and such. That way my instance doesn't really matter much. Much more resistant to instances failing, whole platforms failing or being bought by rich morons, etc... I'll try and document stuff as I go.
