    Still haven't decided if I want to get Ableton Live or Bitwig Studio for my live improvisation sessions.

    I planned to spend time this week to explore Bitwig. I already looked at Ableton Live a while ago.

    Any thoughts here on this from the perspective of guitarists/bassists that play ambient?

    Short: Yes, it's worth the money.
    Long: I buy the upgrade every 2yrs because it's enough for me. Also Bitwig has a reliable sale twice a year (summer/xmas) where the upgrade plan costs 129โ‚ฌ/$. So my personal plan is at ~65โ‚ฌ/$ a year.
    Considering this you get lots of DAW for the money. I'm using it since v1.0 and I wouldn't change back to Live even if someone gave me a Push on top.

    Bitwig is a Steinberg brand started by former Ableton staff afaik, it is similar to operate. Plus it has a modular system built in. Every device and plugin is in a sandbox so the entire system keeps running even if a vst fails/crashes. You can basically modulate everything with everything, even mixer settings. It's my DAW of choice because for me it's important that I can use the entire software as if it was an instrument. So I didn't use any plugins for my last album.

    Finished re-configuring the patch bay now I've upgraded to a full 16 channels of AD/DA after been given an retired Lynx Aurora on long term loan. :pg:

    Easy to see why I don't want to be in the house! Note the red blanket for George (the desk also gets covered when I'm working ITB so George can block site lines to the screen) .

    Iโ€™m in need of a laptop carry bag. Sounds simple but I specifically want a decent quality shoulder bag that can fit a 2020 MBP, some headphones (sennheiser hd25). Power supply, two or 3 small tools and some electrical tape.

    Are there any brands that might fit this criteria? Very much needs to fit those items and be hardwaring.

    Found a couple but didnโ€™t quite fit the headphones. I definitely donโ€™t want something too big! :80spc:
