For the afternoon crowd who may have missed it...

After a two year wait, it's finally landed. Say hello to my story, "The Frost Giants of Maine." It combines my love of the Maine humor storytelling tradition with a modern fantasy setting, and deals with the question what happens when beloved but sometimes problematic "indigenous wildlife" meets the less beloved and far more problematic "rich folks from away."

The original Aunt May lives! And she's marching in solidarity with the striking writers and actors!

Go Aunt May! (aka Rosemary Harris).

After more than a year of using the Dark Reader plugin for Firefox to make all websites have a dark mode (so easy on the eyes), I have regretfully turned it off. Too many websites were suffering degraded performance, with slow loading times and long lags. Tracked it down to Dark Reader, which also had caused me previous issues with a site I logged into (couldn't log in if it was on).

I've switched now to "Dark Background," which works perfectly fine.
