This morning I’m having a bloodwork test to see if my body has poor takeup of cortisol, which could explain why I can’t lose weight. The process for this test is you take a bunch of cortisol the night before and then they measure how much is still in your system the next day.

Well, fun fact about taking a bunch of cortisol… it simulates a severe stress event, so now my entire body is going “OH SHIT, WE’RE UNDER ATTACK! FIGHT OR FLIGHT, BITCHES!!!”

I am twitchy as fuck.

You know what I would love to see Microsoft do with the Halo franchise? Pull a “Disney acquiring Lucasfilm”

Rewind the series to Halo 3, declare the 343 era books as non-canonical, and remake Halo 4 and 5 following Joe Staten’s original vision of the forerunners being human. Have Cortana’s rampancy arc play out the same, but this time it all happens on Requiem, combining the two games. Most of Halo Infinite wouldn’t even change.

I am so very very sick of going into support spaces for programing topics, asking for help about a problem I'm trying to solve, and being told that my problem isn't worth solving.

If it wasn't worth solving, I wouldn't be asking for help on how to do it, god dammit!

For literally decades this has been my experience in coding support spaces. It's why I stopped hanging out in tech chat rooms entirely.

I still need to continue this experiment for a few months in order to confirm the results, but—

I now have evidence that my estrone level is rising and falling in correlation with my period cycle, external to my estradiol injections.

This is the first step of confirmation for my theory that #transfem period cycles are caused by HSD 17b mediation of #estrone and #estradiol. Sadly, I can’t confirm more without actual blood testing.

The first new computer I owned (as opposed to used old tech) was an Apple PowerMac 6200 in 1995. Ours came with 8MB of memory, but it had a maximum capacity of 64MB.

This morning I installed one thousand times that in my gaming PC.

This blows my mind.

Obsessing tonight about how misplaced emphasis in a line reading by Joe Pantoliano made it sound like one had to view the matrix stream as code because the visualizer software was employed by the construct (like they only had one software license or something).

It bothers me to no end that the Wachowskis kept that take and didn’t even have him reloop the line.

Many moons ago, in the the days of classic WoW (not WoW Classic), my spouse and I were in a Molten Core raiding guild (back when you needed 40 people to run it).

The guild/raid leader was a hunter whose name I have long since forgotten, but what I haven’t forgotten is the way he would make slightly off-color jokes on Ventrilo, giggle to himself, and immediately say “just kidding”. This would happen dozens of times in a run.

I grew to absolutely hate that man…
