There is an oval track marked by buoys. They can't just stop and start like cars, so there is a 1 minute count down clock for a flying start.

One year ago I took my camera to the hydroplane races in Erinsville Ontario. The photos I took showed that when you silence all the engine noise you see a more human side to the motor sport.

Thanks! I find myself reaching into my pocket for my phone rather than finding a much more expensive but faster lens. I'm on the 6A now but it has the same sensor.
