You ring up your artist friend and would really like to see this specific thing drawn. Your friend gets inspired and is happy to oblige completely for free as they make art for fun. You give them specifications, they send you progress pictures and you tell them how to tweak those WIP pictures until you get the piece you envisioned, drawn by this artist friend of yours.
Now, who owns the work? The artist, right? You don’t get to claim ownership just because your instructions got that piece done.
He’s still mad at those researchers for scraping the data that shows that ever since he took over, the antisemitism, racism and general bigotry has gone up on the platform.
I can’t view my achievements so I don’t know. I assume no because there’s no overlay. I actually forgot GOG even had achievements. I just don’t care about them that much usually.
When I moved to Lemmy, I saw a thing for Matrix in the profile area and checked out that and have been sitting in a furry room for like a month. I just started actually looking at it and of the only 2 active people who talk, one is an incel and the other has a nazi fetish so I noped on out. The other issue is I constantly get...
Which is why I am happy to have email aliases. Alias gets leaked? No problem. I’ll just delete that one and make a new one for that service. Scammers and spammers have a useless email address and I still have my clean inbox.
People on the platform can generate invites at some intervals and send them to friends. That’s my understanding, while I don’t know for certain as I personally am avoiding the platform due to not trusting Dorsey at the helm. But I’m still keeping an eye on it with popcorn ready.

I read that the “level of annoyance” (phrasing mine) has to do with your score (i.e. how likely Google thinks you are a bot). And I wouldn’t be surprised if using any browser other than ones in their ecosystem reduces your score more.
Anyway, there are other captcha systems websites could use but choose not to.
I made the switch and everything I want to play works. Some of it needed a bit of tweaking, though. Luckily instructions exist, and some began working with new Proton updates. It’s a good time to be a gamer on Linux.
It’s not the government’s job to parent someone’s children… Parents should take the time to learn about how computers and the internet work at a sufficient level so they can both teach their children how to act and what to expect on the internet, and to control what their child sees on the internet. The former is a backup in case the latter does not work.
Recently got a VPN because I’ve become increasingly paranoid (It’s getting crazy out there), but… is it a bannable offense to use it while on Steam?...
No problems here and I’ve used a VPN with Steam for years! Just make sure the location of your account is set to your country so you pay the correct price for your area. c:
If you already have an account, that should already be all good.
Follow a lot of people to fill up your feed. Be generous with it, and if someone you followed continuously posts something you’re not interested in, you can just unfollow, or put up a filter so those posts from that person do not show up.
There’s also a feature to follow hashtags so they appear in your home feed, so just search hashtags of things you find interesting. That’s a good way to find new people to follow as well! Advanced web view also allows you to make feeds for specific hashtags or hashtag combinations for even more control.
And if you happen to find an instance catered to your specific interests, you can make an account there, and you can even migrate an existing account so your followers come with. Chances are the local feed will be filled up with content you enjoy on such an instance.
And if you want to help your followers discover similar people, be sure to boost content you enjoy.
On Mastodon, you are in control of your feeds. Even on the federated timeline, to an extent (as filters work there as well).
