@riley im glad if u like it tho i just get so offended by it because of how they literally treat her like an object in the writing, ex: bringing 27 people with her because 'dumb woman cant do basic task by herself' when the male doctor only needed/wanted one companion

and honestly i feel like liking/sharing/supporting something like that just perpetuates the existing problem

theres so many like random changes in character its nothing like the rest of the series, and its just plain stupid that the female character is written in such a different and offensive way from the source material (im all for change for social good but this is literally a more misogynistic depiction, hurtful representation is always worse than no representation at all)

shes not written like an intelligent, wise, old, witty, funny, etc. watchful alien character to look up to (ofc old dr did have character flaws as well, but shes literally only character flaws), shes written like a bimbo harlot who needs a random 60 year old man and his entire family to follow her around and control her because she's too wacky and dumb

not to mention how fucking stupid they made the only black guy in the group (yes old dr had racist stuff like this but not quite to this insane level of horrible) like hes literally used as a punching bag and they only talk about his disability when they can use it as either comic relief or sympathy porn

oh my god i just remembered the audio too they literally play like the most fucking LOUD noises ALL THE TIME
EVERY SINGLE SCENE HAS LIKE RANDOM CLANGING OR SOME MUSIC SO STRANGE IT COULD WAKE UP THE DEAD

having a good female dr who to watch would genuinely probably make me cry (good) but ive actually cried (bad) over how bad this is lmao
