I'm (probably) switching to Proton Pass from Bitwarden because its easier to create email aliases (all in one instead of making an alias with SimpleLogin, then copying that to Bitwarden and making a password there) but I've heard people saying not to use Proton Pass to not "put all your eggs in one basket". Can someone explain...
If a service is ever compromised, you would have chosen to consolidate information that would lead you to be more greatly vulnerable than if you had spread over multiple services.
I’ve thinking about ditching my Protonmail email address with Posteo since I need IMAP support (because I hate using the Protonmail app) and honestly paying for Proton Mail Plus didn’t worth the money because they are pushing me to buy the Protonmail Unlimited but I don’t need all those capabilities nor would I use them...

…because why would you go to all the trouble to pay Mullvad (presumably to keep your sensitive information away from big tech) to then give it to google in the form of an e-mail should you reach out to Mullvad for support? Google would then suck up any and all data that comes via their gmail service.
