I find myself browsing Reddit more and more lately, but still don't have an account or participate.
I occasionally post on kbin, but the way the homepage appears to feed content is just awful. Doesn't seem to prioritize magazines I actually sub to. I haven't found any magazine for my local city either. Kind of feels stagnated in here.
Thanks for the insight! Was there already a traffic problem before, that just grew as more lanes were added? The before pic showing a near traffic free paradise just seems disingenuous.
In my city (Madison WI) we added a flex lane that opens during rush hours (7-9am and 3-6pm) and it's done wonders, but we also don't have the population density where Induced demand becomes a problem.
I'm solidly middle aged, and I don't want to work either. But I don't want to be homeless either, so I'm going to get as much money as I can, for as little labor as possible. That's capitalism baby.
Another +1 for Spotify Premium. When my then-GF now-Wife added me to her family plan I stopped pirating music completely. And then COVID came and I got into Vinyl. I spend more money on music now than I ever did in the past.
I have a Collie. I just keep getting the most expensive vacuums I can until all the hair inevitably binds to our pores and turns the whole family feral.
Do they really word it that way? That's stupid broad. Applied for a IT Position for a local PD decades ago, the wording was very clearly "Have you ever done any illegal drugs; List every instance and explain".
I found out about it because of a hacker news comment discussing the Reddit drama. I'm pretty upset that I didn't discover it on Reddit. I assume any mention of Lemmy was marked as spam or was I just not browsing the right communities?
I still don't understand if I'm on Kbin or Lemmy. I have a Kbin login so this is Kbin right? But I can view subs/magazines/federations on lemmy? But not all of the content? And I can comment/interact with those Lemmyubs/magazines/federations if i'm on Kbin, but not with the same account if I go to Lemmy? WTF is going on.
