This doesn't apply to DuckDuckGo, right?

Nah, I don't see things this way. Microsoft has been generous with its IP, in contrast to Sony, which keeps its games (and third party games, as was the case with Street Fighter 5) exclusive. Microsoft has licensed its biggest titles to the Switch and even the Playstation 4, and it has a history of cross-platform publishing that goes back decades. For instance, games in the Banjo-Kazooie series were released for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. There's no reason to believe Microsoft will change that strategy, especially with the Xbox Series lagging so far behind its competitors in sales.

If Microsoft suddenly tightens the reins on its IP, consumers will spite them for it. After the Xbox One debacle, they know better than to force unwanted changes to the status quo of this industry.

I appreciate all the advice you guys are giving me!

By the way, I should probably mention that I do have an SSD in this system, along with a SATA Y-splitter to keep the CPU fan from running at full blast all the time. Seems to work so far! I wish I could have secured it with screws rather than a few pieces of Gorilla Tape, but whaddaya gonna do.

Linux probably would be easier for me; I have a little more experience with it than Mac OS. But I feel that it would be a good idea to just learn how a Mac works. I imagine that knowledge would come in handy later. Prior to this, I owned a chunky Power Mac made in 1996, and I can see that the Mac operating system has changed a LOT since that time.

Oh man, I can totally relate to this. Just putting in the screws (Torx! And magnetized to the sides of the system, like I was playing the board game Operation as designed by a sadist!) was a hair-pulling nightmare.

I think it's got 8 gigs in there already... I'll need to look at the About file to confirm it. I may need more than that? What's this thing top out at? 16GB, 32GB?

The Abridged Guide to Capcom Power-Ups (kiblitzing.blogspot.com)

I wrote this encyclopedia of Capcom items a few years ago, and although it's by no means 100% complete (I would have gone mad chronicling all the power-ups from Mega Man and its many sequels), it's nevertheless a fairly comprehensive guide to all the weird pick-ups you can find in Capcom games from the 20th century and beyond....

@Stoned_Deva_ I liked this show. Not a laugh out loud kind of series, but pleasant in its own understated way. Having Howard Hesseman and Rain Pryor in the cast certainly didn't hurt its appeal any. (Shame about Dan Schneider, though.)

I actually have this friggin' game! I found it in a Goodwill years ago for cheap, and was fascinated by the concept. You're taking care of this weird dolphin/parakeet thing, and you can even talk to it with an included microphone. And it's by Fujitsu, of all things!

I find that wearing snug-fitting briefs helps prevent this.

I've got a headache this big! And it's got Ex-Lewis written all over it!

That's fine, I was always the black sheep of my own family, so it fits.

By the way, why does it say only one person viewed this when three people have made comments? Have you ever heard of the old robot phrase "does not compute?"

10 year Club, Multiple Awards, 17k / 24k gone....

I never really cared about upvotes and downvotes, but I liked that my comments and participation meant something to someone at one time or another. I liked that when I posted a comment or asked a question people could look through my post history to learn more about me and answer accordingly. More than anything I miss my saved...

It wasn't hard to drive up karma on Reddit... just find a sub where everyone shares your point of view and make snarky comments at the expense of someone or something they hate. Rinse and repeat for about four years. I'm not saying it's the ONLY thing I posted over there, but it's certainly the easiest way to boost your stats. I think I had 70K of karma by the time I deleted my account, and it happened organically, without a lot of deliberate effort.

As the old saying goes, "The internet is made for porn." I'm not crazy about this whole push to mainstream the internet for the sake of advertisers. I don't give a damn about advertisers, and I don't want them to clean up the web the way Ghoul-iani cleaned up New York or people in Nevada sanitized Las Vegas.
