I’m not sure if this works anymore but I saved this message a while back. If you get this pop-up then put this into your adblock custom rules and it should sort it out:
Flan is surprisingly simple, delicious, and is one of my favorite desserts to make when my ladies go overboard on egg laying and we have some extra! I can post the recipe as well if anyone is interested!
Ingredients: 7 large eggs. 1 bar of cream cheese 1 cup of milk 1 can of sweetened condensed milk 1 can of evaporated milk 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract A square of butcher paper 1 large glass pan or casserole dish Place the butcher paper in the pan as a liner Blend all of the ingredients in a blender or with an immersion blender until frothy and pour it into the pan, trimming large chunks of the butcher paper if you have allot of excess. Throw that in the oven at 350° for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Allow to cool, flip it and slice. Can be served hot or chilled. I also throw a steel pan with a couple inches of water in the bottom of my oven while it cooks, but that’s optional.
(I use my chickens eggs so if a few are small, I’ll throw an extra 1 or 2 in)
View Tolerance as a contract. If someone is tolerant of others, tolerate them too. But if someone is intolerant towards others, they don’t get to be tolerated either.
Kbin also has Mastodon integration (though it's still being worked on and isn't in its final form yet), which I think is handy because I'm hoping that Kbin doesn't defederate from Meta, so that I can also still have an account to keep in touch with people I care about who are going to be using Threads without having to manage another account elsewhere.
I also prefer the layout to Kbin better. While the stock Lemmy layout is nice (it does a fantastic job of emulating the old.reddit layout), I like the fact that Kbin shows a little bit more text about each post. It also keeps more data public (like your votes and reputation scores), which I actually prefer being out in the open, as it helps weed out people who may be giving bad faith arguments in various discussions.
The greatest thing about Reddit is finding information on any old topic. For today, I wanted to dig deeper into My Dinner With Andre. RIF tried to open (he’s such a trooper 😢) and when that failed I went to the browser....
You can use the Web Archive, if those posts are saved, you’ll see it without ever touching a reddit server. You can’t comment or give awards or anything, but you’re not locked out completely.

In reading the rules and pinned posts, it doesn’t seem to me that my question is out of line with the intention of the community. However, if I am mistaken, please remove the post and accept my sincere apologies....
I have no idea where it came from. Cant find any settings to remove it, and it opens the developer console when i clixk it. Thanks in asvance for the help.
I use libreddit in my browser when I do need to go back. libreddit.kavin.rocks is one instance, but there are others. reddit.adminforge.de is another solid one. There’s no logging into your account so it’s more for lurking, but I’m sure it would suit your needs.
If the mod team I'm on wants to eventually build out, how do we add another moderator? I can easily see the delete button next to other mods on the https://kbin.social/m/(magazine name)/moderators page, but I can't see anywhere to add new users....
I am not OP, but am a submarine veteran that retired 10 years ago. What's the benefit of using Kbin over Lemmy?
I see a very small minority of people using Kbin, but I don’t understand why....

YSK that you can access deleted reddit answers with the wayback machine! The same goes for private communities etc. (web.archive.org)
No AD revenue for reddit and you can still benefit from all the answers given in the past for your questions.
