We need to be able to differentiate between NSFW and porn.

A boob, a butt, or even some violence like one might see on the news anyway, I’m not freaked out about all that and I don’t feel the need to hide it from those around me usually… that’s all fine fine, but I don’t want porn on my feed like at all....

I think part of the point here is that communities that aren't following common, reasonable guidelines are ultimately going to be defederated by communities who care about those guidelines.

Rack and panniers obviously, but specifically panniers you can remove and re-attach in a hurry.

I found it very frustrating to have pannier bags that were attached with these long velcro straps that went between the two bags, it made just moving the bike around a lot more difficult than it aught to have been when I had a bunch of groceries onboard or whatever. Now, obviously being able to detach the bags hasn't made the ride back from the shops any easier, but hauling the lot up a few flights of stairs has become dramatically less unpleasant.

I don't think basic scraping will be particularly difficult, especially if the rates are kept low. While I also don't think it's actually the right way forward, I'll happily help out.

No, no, I think it would ultimately be better to rely on people to post stuff. But scraping links would be better than using the API.

Nah, I mean more that I think relying on people to just post stuff themselves would be better for the community. But scraping would be the way forward, relying on the API would be prohibitively expensive IMO.

It's so cold this morning. Urgh. I think the insulation in my ceiling is fucked. Discussed it with my rental manager six months ago and they've done nothing since, the bastards.

It's early days. Give the culture time to develop.

I have this one, and one on lemmy.world, which I'm giving up as I prefer the interface of kbin. And, well, the defederation issue.

Regarding ObsidianMD, at least, there's a mag/community on lemmy.world -- https://kbin.social/m/obsidianmd@lemmy.world
