Perhaps I've misunderstood how Lemmy works, but from what I can tell Lemmy is resulting in fragmentation between communities. If I've got this wrong, or browsing Lemmy wrong, please correct me!...
Honestly I don't think it matters, because Ihis exact thing happened after I created m/dryherbvapes, just a few hours before m/vaporents and https://lemmy.world/c/vaporents were created. I added them to the sidebar, subscribe and join into discussion on all three.
As far as I am concerned there is room for different communities with their own vibes about the same subject on the Web. I mean it happens in real life so why not?
Anyway kbin has a feature where it recommends similar magazines so that will be a huge opportunity for cross pollination once everything gets indexed fully.
That's exactly why the first thing I did when I got here was create m/dryherbvapes because there's no way to get real advice from real enthusiasts anymore.
Sorry I should have been clearer, but was just trying out the photo feature. If you go into the settings you'll see a bunch of different notification settings.
Just posting to try and get some traffic going here. If anyone's planning a trip to Italy and has questions about Florence (as well as other locales in Tuscany) and Venice in particular (especially history/art/culture) or even some more general questions, I'm happy to take a stab at it. Fair warning: I haven't been to Rome in a really long time, so I don't feel comfortable making recommendations there, and I'm not a nature/hiking/camping/relaxation person so unfortunately I can't really tell you much about the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, the beaches of Puglia, etc. However, I have been regularly visiting Italy for over a decade and used to work for someone who designed tours and guided for colleges and private clients with a real interest in art and history.
@Anomander it's a dark Brazilian blend and I have just straight espresso at lunch and Americano at breakfast. My partner has lattes but has switched to espresso over ice with oatmilk for the summer.
Yeah smoking tobacco (especially unfiltered) is the worst. I honestly don't know how I did for so long.
And I know what you mean about sitting in smoky coffee shops. Even when I was smoking I found it unpleasant. But do they really not allow vapes? That seems odd.
Sorry to hear about your burnout experience and I hope you are on the road to recovery. And thanks for sharing!
First let me say that this is one of the most well written and most informative articles I've ever seen on the topic. The funny writing style and analogies are right up my alley! And the amount of useful nuggets of info you managed to pack into a relatively short article is commendable.
But don't worry I'm not just going to blow smoke (vapour?) up your ass, you asked for feedback afterall.
The formatting on mobile makes some of the lines of text go on to the next line and it looks funny when there is no white space between paragraphs. Easily fixed though.
You were actually very thorough when discussing the factors involved in choosing a vape. The one thing that I think you could have addressed a bit more (sorry if I missed it) is the really obvious questions that more experienced enthusiasts such as yourself take for granted. For example: does it heat resin or oil? How much flower does it use? Do I need dosing capsules? What about accessories like different mouthpieces or adapters?
Finally thanks for reminding me how low my tolerance is! After or even during a session I can barely operate a mouse and keyboard let alone play a game like EU4!
@Loki thanks for stopping by! I love your write up - anyone who sees this needs to check it out - we need to keep a tight network with other magazines that cover #dryherbvapes

Started with kbin but just created an account with lemmy. So far I prefer the kbin interface enough to stick with kbin while they try to stabilise performance.
I am thinking of ruling out the PAX 3. One, I just don't like the look. Two, I'm not into the whole Bluetooth thing. Three, I've heard it's a bit mediocre.
Things I wish I knew before I started using #dryherbvapes:
How far electronic handhelds have advanced in terms of quality and enjoyment in the last few years. I delayed buying my first handheld for over a year because I was sceptical for so long!
I don't see how Lemmy will fill the gap of Reddit - it's resulting in fragmentation
