Hi! I'm just a 26yo stumbling through life and trying to figure things out along the way. Into gaming, cats, asian popcultures, diecast collecting, beadsprites among other things.

Nintendo Plans 'Smooth Transition' from Switch to Next Console by Using Players' Nintendo Accounts - IGN (www.ign.com)

Speaking during an investors Q&A session, translated by Genki on Twitter (below), Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa indicated that Nintendo Accounts would be a staple for users going forward. "As for the transition from Nintendo Switch to the next generation machine, we want to do as much as possible in order to smoothly...

I just want to hear that 99.9% of games will have seamless backwards compatibility.

This expression is so wholesome to see. My little void Midna often reacts similarly whenever she gets some outdoor time.

Monster Hunter Tri really holds a special place for me. As a teenager I only had a Wii during that console generation, and there reached a point where I was getting disinterested in the typical Nintendo releases. I wanted something a bit meatier, and I've been hooked on Monster Hunter ever since. Tri also had probably the best social interaction with randoms in an online game that I've ever played, and even in the brand. The Loc Lac hub holds so many fond memories for me and the flagship monster of that release, Lagiacrus is still my favorite momster in the series.

I can't imagine gaming without them, and I wished all devs went the extra mile to include subtitle scaling/ sizing.

Kinda excited for this one. I have no nostalgia for the original but the artstyle of this remake looks lovely and rpgs are one of my favorite genres.

As someone who has never had any interest in Pikmin, I'm pretty impressed with what they're offering here. Also it's pretty neat that the every mainline game will be on the same platform.

Game Pass adds another seven Xbox games soon. (www.trueachievements.com)

Microsoft has announced the second slate of games coming to Game Pass in June and early July. Need for Speed Unbound (via EA Play), Bramble: The Mountain King, Arcade Paradise, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever, The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales, and FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch will all...

Cool! I've been itching to play a NFS game for quite a while so I'll definitely install Unbound

After TotK, I feel like anythig else for the platform is a nice bonus. Pikmin isn't a "must buy" for me, but maybe this direct might get me interested in something else.

My Honda Prelude | Update: I bought another one (lemmy.world)

UPDATE 6/27/23: My wife is way too good to me. One of my neighbors had a little red '97 Type SH (all of the Type SH had the 5MT) out in front of his house. 251,000 miles (honestly not bad for a 25+ year old car). No rust, everything ran well. I honestly don't remember the last time I drove stick but I was very rusty. Nearly...

I've recently met someone who had a prelude and he had only good things to say about it.

Your story reminds me of my Corolla Altis that is getting a bit costlier to maintain, but is still being held onto by my mom for sentimental reasons. Even now I still enjoy driving it from time to time.

What's an inexpensive or low-quality item that you ended up loving and keeping for years?

I bought a lift-top coffee table from a big box store almost a decade ago. It's entirely particle board and has seen better days cosmetically, but it's probably my single favorite piece of furniture. It's immensely practical for meals, using a laptop, or just bringing your remote/drink/whatever closer to your hand when laying...

I bought a lift top coffee table of similar quality when starting university and eventually brought it home with me. Eventually had to reinforce the frame with some DIY and now I happily display/store a large chunk of my diecast collection underneath.

It's been awful lately. I generally only have insomnia when I have irl problems so I'm currently trying to sort those out as best as I can and better sleep should follow suit.

I'm still playing Tears of the Kingdom as well. I held on to v1.1.1 for quite some time and duped the dragon parts since they're time consuming to farm. Now that I've let it update, I'm gonna take it a bit slower with TotK. I've wanted to play other switch games for a while.

Cyberpunk’s expansion totally overhauls the original game (www.videogameschronicle.com)

So I think this is a good one for the patient gamers… I actually already played this soon after it came out and still really enjoyed it, although the world felt like it didn’t have any real people in it the city is just fantastic and visually appealing. I imagine this update will transform the game entirely, I’m looking...

I'm glad that I held off, especially considering I didn't have the hardware to run it at reasonable settings. I'll eventually pick it up once I get a PS5 or finally upgrade my laptop.
