I, like many gamers, grew up playing Pokémon Red and Nintendo 64 and was obsessed with Nintendo products. I graduated to a PS2 and PS3 and became super into Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty and Fallout. Also spent a ton of time with the Guitar Hero series. I loved the escape gaming brought me and it genuinely helped me relax....
Gamers like to say they hold companies accountable for their actions, but when you make a YouTube channel about doing it you become "toxic" and "don't even like video games" or some shit.
That is unless you're TotalBiscuit? And then it's okay for some reason and people want him to come back?
They don't really have any consistency in their morals.
I've been looking at Lidarr for when I finish transferring my media server to a new system this month, what I am unsure is how difficult it would be to downgrade my 650 FLAC album library down to 320kbps....
For me personally it might be Metaphor: ReFantazio. The high fantasy setting seems like it could be a fun thing to explore. I really like the art style too (even thoug hit's just bog standard Atlus Persona visual aesthetic)...
I don’t think we have anything to worry about with Steam. It’s privately held, so they aren’t bound by investors or shareholders squeezing them to wring out infinite growth and ROI every quarter
Gabe passing away doesn't inherently mean anything. Gabe is very smart and I'm sure he's picked his "heir" to the Valve/Steam business very very carefully. He's had a wonderful vision of PC Gaming for the last few decades and I doubt he'd pick some bean counter just looking to wring wallets in the way every other company does.
Just because you're okay with 30FPS doesn't make it "fine" or "good" either. Higher FPS is objectively better. Period. That means 30FPS is bad, when the other options is 60FPS (Or higher, because the console is being DIRECTLY MARKETED to the consumers as a 60FPS-120FPS console)
Nobody was motion sick or got eye strain.
Wow, I didn't realize you could speak on behalf of everyone's personal reaction to FPS
For example, Zelda feels great. Controlling Link is tight and snappy.
As someone who is playing TotK in Yuzu at well above 60FPS, 30FPS being "playable" doesn't mean it good. Higher FPS is objectively and inarguably better. There is no argument on how a lower FPS can be better than a higher FPS when it comes to how a game feels.
TotK feels like crap at 30FPS after I've been playing it at like 120FPS
I don't specifically remember if it was considered a MUD, but I spent SO MUCH time on Legend of the Green Dragon at my local library back when we didn't have a good internet connection at our home as a kid. I'm sure I played others, but would not be able to remember any of them
I usually am really skeptical when a game's marketing is about world size, because more often than not the map gets "bigger" because of more and more boring empty space between points of interest, but I trust Itsuno. Really all Dragon's Dogma needed in a sequel just expanded things like a beastiary and some additions to combat (more vocations, more equipment variety, more abilities and skills).
Like most things, there is a cycle of "enshittification" that happens once you hit critical mass. Pokemon GO at launch was novel and fun. I genuinely ran into strangers on my walks and we'd talk about it and go to gyms together and show our collections. It was a social thing.
But like any business, at some point money has to be priority, and once you start wringing wallets for revenue, the original idea of the product falls apart and becomes shittier and shittier to extract as much wealth as you can out of people.
I fully expect to enjoy Monster Hunter Now...for a bit. Until they repeat the same process of what happened to Pokemon GO
I’ve fallen into a deep gaming rut lately. What helped “get you back into” gaming and rediscover the magic of video games?

Is there a good rarbg replacement yet?
Pretty much the title, Cant really find anything that has a similar UI and range of movies/shows.
